How we work
How we work with you.
Every project with Nine Technology follows the same six steps: we understand your business, document the problem and the solution, confirm the scope together, build in stages you review, launch and hand everything over in your name, and continue to support you after launch.
- Problem, solution, scope, timeline
- Documented from the start
- Domain, hosting, logins and files
- Everything in your name
- Sunday–Friday, 10am–5pm
- We reply within minutes
- From launch onwards
- Ongoing support
Before any work begins, we document the problem, the solution, the scope and the timeline. Both sides sign it, and we deliver what was agreed.
Most IT companies describe similar stages. What makes the difference is accountability: what is agreed in writing, and whether it is delivered. These are the commitments we make on every project.
-
We understand your business
Every engagement begins with a consultation, by call or at your office, at no cost. We learn how your business operates, where time is lost, what is still done by hand, and what you want to achieve. Our aim is to recommend the right solution for your business, not the most expensive one.
- What you get
- A clear understanding of the problem and our honest recommendation, including when a simpler solution will do the job.
- What we need from you
- An overview of how the business runs today and what you would like to improve. Existing files, message threads or websites you refer to are very helpful.
-
We document the problem and the solution
We then prepare a written proposal. It documents the problem as we understand it, the solution we recommend and why, the scope of work, what is and is not included, a timeline with milestones, and the cost. Everything is clear before any work begins.
- What you get
- A proposal document: the problem, the recommended solution and the reasoning behind it, the scope, inclusions and exclusions, milestones and cost.
- What we need from you
- A careful review. The document should describe your business accurately, so tell us about anything that needs correcting or clarifying before you approve it.
-
We confirm the scope together
When you are satisfied with the proposal, both parties sign it. The signed document becomes the reference for the whole project: the work, the timeline and the cost are agreed. If you later need something additional, we document and quote it first, and it proceeds only with your approval.
- What you get
- A signed project document that both sides work from. Any change to the work, the timeline or the cost is agreed in writing first.
- What we need from you
- Your signature, and the initial payment set out in the proposal.
-
We build, and you see the progress
Work progresses in stages, and you review each one as it is completed. Every major stage requires your approval before the next begins, so you always know exactly where the project stands.
- What you get
- Regular progress you can see and test, and a formal sign-off at each major stage.
- What we need from you
- Content (text, images, access details) and feedback within the agreed dates. Timely input keeps the project on schedule.
-
We launch and hand over
Before launch, we test everything thoroughly. We then put the project live and hand over everything in your name: domain, hosting, logins and files. Your team receives training, so you can manage it with confidence from day one.
- What you get
- The live website or system, all accounts and files registered in your name, and training for your team.
- What we need from you
- A final review before launch, and the staff who will use the system at the training session.
-
We continue to support you
Our work does not end at launch. Every project includes a period of support, during which our team responds to your requests, identifies and resolves any issues, and keeps everything running as it should. After that, we remain available through a care plan or whenever you need us. We aim to be the technology partner you work with for years, not for a single project.
- What you get
- Support after launch: 14 days for a landing page, 30 for websites and stores, and 60 for software and apps, followed by an optional care plan.
- What we need from you
- Contact our team by phone, WhatsApp or email whenever you need assistance. We take it from there.
Common questions
What clients often ask before starting a project with us.
What happens if I need something extra during the project?
We quote the additional work in writing and you decide whether to proceed. Nothing is built or added to your invoice until you approve it, and the rest of the signed scope remains unchanged.
Can I see the work before it is finished?
Yes. You review progress throughout the project and approve each major stage before the next one begins, so there are no surprises at the end.
What if the design needs changes?
The design is presented to you and approved before development starts. Changes within the agreed scope are part of the work, and they are easiest to make at that stage, so we ask for your feedback at every sign-off.
Who owns the website or system at the end?
You do. The domain, hosting, logins and files are registered in your name, and your team is trained to use them. Everything remains yours, whoever you work with in future.
What happens after the support period?
Our team remains available. You can continue with a monthly care plan, or contact us whenever you need changes, fixes or new work. There is no obligation, and we look forward to supporting your business as it grows.
Do you use the same process for every project?
The six steps are the same on every project. How the build itself is organised, whether in a single sequence, in stages or in short sprints, depends on the project, and the proposal states which delivery model we will use.
